Investor Visas

Every year, approximately 140,000 employment-based immigrant visas are available to qualified applicants under U.S. immigration law. Among these, the Employment Fifth Preference (E5) Immigrant Investor Visa, commonly known as the EB-5 visa, is designed for immigrant entrepreneurs. It allows foreign nationals to invest in commercial enterprises in the U.S. that boost the economy through job creation and capital investment.

To qualify, investors must invest a minimum of $1,000,000 or $500,000 in targeted high-unemployment or rural areas, creating at least 10 full-time jobs for U.S. citizens or authorized workers. Investors can apply by submitting Form I-526 to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

How to Apply for the Investor Visa

To apply for an  Investor Visa, you first need to select a qualifying commercial enterprise that meets the investment and job creation criteria. Next, file Form I-526 (Immigrant Petition by Alien Entrepreneur) with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to demonstrate your investment and business plan. After USCIS approves your petition, you can apply for the immigrant visa at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Following a successful interview and visa approval, you can enter the United States as a conditional resident and manage your investment.
